1. What this is
No system is perfect, and ours is no exception. If you find a security problem in Pimp-Area, we would rather hear it from you than from the person abusing it. Report it the way we describe here and we will not take legal action against you, even though you went looking.
2. How to report
security@pimp-area.netTell us what you found, where, and enough detail that we can reproduce it. Screenshots or a short recording help. Write in English or Dutch.
3. What we ask of you
- Report it as soon as you find it. Do not sit on it.
- Do no more damage than you need to prove the problem exists. One proof is enough.
- Do not read, change, or delete data that is not yours. If you stumble into someone else's data, stop and tell us.
- Keep it to yourself until it is fixed. We agree with you when it goes public.
- Do not use it to get ahead in the game. That is not research, that is cheating, and the Terms and Conditions apply.
4. What is not research
These are off limits and we will treat them as an attack: denial of service, spamming or phishing our players or staff, brute forcing accounts, malware, physical access to our hosting, and social engineering of anyone involved with the game.
5. What we promise you
- We answer within seven days.
- We tell you what we think of it and, if it is real, when we expect to have it fixed.
- We keep you posted while we work on it.
- We do not report you to the police and we take no legal action, as long as you kept to the rules above.
- If you want the credit, we name you when we announce the fix. If you would rather stay anonymous, that is fine too.
6. Reward
This is a free game run by one person, so there is no money in it. What we can offer is credit and our genuine thanks.
7. Not a security problem
Please do not send these, they cost us the time we would rather spend on real reports: results from an automated scanner without proof that anything can actually be done with it, missing security headers with no working attack behind them, and anything about game balance or a bug in a game feature. That last one belongs in a support ticket, and we do want to hear about it.
